The Qurna exhibitions, Qurna Discovery, and the on-going work of the Qurna History Project were and are made possible through public subscription.  In 2007 the Friends of Qurna Discovery was set up - a small organisation whose aim is:

To advance education and learning among the public with particular reference to the culture of the Qurnawi on the West Bank of the Nile at Luxor, Egypt and by support for a venue in which buildings, artefacts and documents of architectural or historical interest can be collected, displayed and made available to the public.
